Hello Friends! I am so excited to share with you today my Holiday Home Tour! We deck the halls around here pretty hard. Lately, the most interesting thing my husband has had to say is, “she put a tree in every room”. And here’s the thing – I just can’t help it. You only get this opportunity once a year so you better make it count. If you’re hopping over from Casa Watkins – welcome! I’m glad you’re hopping from one blog to another today. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and let’s get started!
Entryway / Sitting Room
We live in the very last house on a coldesac in our neighborhood. For this reason, we don’t really put up lights outside. I just put my wreath up and call it good. However, we decorate our entryway really simple. I replaced our gallery wall pictures with Christmas wrapping paper and free printables. I also used an old garland and stockings from last year to make it a little more festive.
We have two living rooms, and we haven’t even started decorating the front room. However, since we bought a new tree this year, we used our old one as our sentimental tree! Mr. Dean’s grandma gave him a new ornament every year and wrote a sweet note in the top of it. It was so fun going through the boxes together looking at the ornaments and reminiscing.
Bathroom / Bedroom
I just couldn’t pass up this Tiffany Blue tree at At Home for the life of me. This bad boy was only $7.99!
In our master bedroom, we added this fun, rustic tree! I love the look of this tree, and the size is perfect for fitting into a small space.
Here’s what our kitchen usually looks like!
On the windowsill, I set up a few of my favorite things: bottle brush trees, sweet tear drop trailers, and candles. This little vignette is my favorite.
Last year after Christmas was over, Mr. Dean found this Charlie Brown Christmas tree for $3. He said it has “been his dream for his entire life” – so I caved and bought it. I don’t know what I’ll do when we have kids — hopefully I’ll get used to saying ‘no’ a little more. 😉
On the other side of the table, we have this display! We chose all white dishes, so I display them here, and fill anything with candy canes when I can.
Ah, and now my favorite room in the house: the living room. I wanted to use very classic, classy colors for our tree and decorations this year, and I am so glad I did.
I have this little vignette from some items I had on hand as well as a few that I purchased! On the right is my very favorite candle. Oh my gosh – you should just go get it right now it smells SO good. Ever wonder what makes Anthropologie smell amazing? It’s this candle.
I also have this vignette set up, with one of my favorite quotes about Christmas! It’s from the Jesus storybook Bible, which is seriously so good. My pastor read it to the kids at a Christmas eve service, and I started crying. SO sweet – and even if you’re an adult with no kids, I think you’ll love it. I paired this chalkboard with a crystal-garland and some micro lights.
I love our mantle this year. It’s so classic – you can see my Pom-Pom pillows, and my deer head wreath both featured here!
